Hello, now it's time to talk about one of the deadliest and most disastrous hurricanes that the world has suffered. Actually, it's the costliest in the history of the USA, and affected mainly the states of Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Florida. Bahamas and Cuba were also affected.

We are talking about Hurricane Katrina.

With 1836 fatalities confirmed and $81.2 billion usd in damage, this hurricane was absolutely destructive and the Government was hardly criticized because of the delay in the responses about the flooding in New Orleans. Some more people stated that this fact was because "George Bush didn't care about black people". As we all know this is the criticism that abounds in this type of cataclysms.

However, the people assures that G. W. Bush acted better with the hurricane than Obama has with the recent petroleum leak.

Hi. We're going to talk about something recent.

There was an upcomming information that central american countries were involved in a storm that passed like 7 days ago.

It was very sad when I herd that many people died because of the flood that created. But then, I started thinking of the cause of this tipe of disasters.

The world contamination made this and is coming in dangerous ammounts. We don´t even do anything about it to stop or minimize the facts.

We better do something about it. Many pollution is affecting these regions and makes more climate out of control.

This could lead to a major disaster. Although that the climate wrath has changed, the life of the people affected won´t.

We're going to talk about seismic activity recent in our american continent.

We have received information of volcano eruptions in Ecuador and Guatemala. This news was recent on Friday, so many news channels got hot in that tipe of cases.

Since Guatemala and far more later from central america has sismologic activity, this occurred almost simultaneously. But behind all of this disaster that occurred recently in that area, we can't forget about the seismic activity all over the world, that happened in different places of the world, no mater if it was day or night.

We need to provide more prevention information for seismic activity in our region. This was a video when the famous earthquake in Mexicali took place...

We need more preparation for more that is going to come. Even if we don't know when is going to strike the next move, we should be prepared, including our family, friends, our school and everybody else.

Well, we all know about the news that was a break-thru worldwide. The British-Petroleum problem that alerted in reason of the disaster that would cause, but the damage was already done. Many fish have already been recovered dead, but the good news is that 85% of the petroleum-water mix has been already recovered as well.

This could be one of the disasters that could teach us to be more careful while managing liquids of unknown base, or substances that can be harmful to the atmosphere and to the earth and sea. Eventually, everything went good while the emergency was attended at time.
But we see that great enterprises like BP do have what it takes to respond for accidents like these. In our case in Mexico, we don´t have this kind of responsibility for the earth, one case and the most important is PEMEX, which a study made from Greenpeace, a non-political organization, searching for a better future of our planet shows that PEMEX is guilty for more than 75% of the accidents that caused to the Mexican natural resources.

And worst of all, PEMEX never responded to the emergencies.

Another case that is very important to notice is that in Mexico is permitted to cut trees for wood, creation of furniture and lumber, which the consequences are that we have even less trees in our every day life. When we started to study in Elementary School, they teached us the importance of trees and the air we breath.
But there’s no law to put a limit to this problem. Our government is more concentrated to recover the economy, which we all know that is what it brings us bread to our table every day, but...¿shouldn´t we worry for our future?

Seriously, we don´t see that worry on our government.

Someday, we will need to do some action for that, now if we don´t, maybe...we won´t have a future for us, and for our future family.
